This problem may present itself as random redirects or as a big square ad appearing in the lower right corner of the web browser which when clicked, may lead to malicious sites.This is usually an indication that the hosts file of the computer have been hijacked.
I've been able to fix this problem by resetting my hosts file manually or by using RogueKiller which is available via the following link: http://www.sur-la-toile.com/RogueKiller/RogueKiller.exe
